Bio:

When I was a boy toy's used to be very expensive so we used wire coat hangers to make wire cars to play with. The Shona culture is the majority of Zimbabweans followed by the Ndebele culture. They are more than five Indigenous tribes in Zimbabwe. The Shona tribe are much well known for their Shona sculptures. Wire Art started in the 60's by a small group of young people who needed some Toys to play with because those days toys were expensive to buy in the shops, so young boys started making their own toys using wire coat hangers to make motor cars to play with. Since then it was connected to the Shona tribe. I have been in this business for over twenty years. It has been a great achievement to work with other artists back home in Zimbabwe because they are now able to make a living by sending me their artwork here so that I can sell them and send them money.
