We work in conjunction to do different pieces and I give ideas of the topics in the retablos.I had the opportunity to participate in different events in Lima with my grandfather and also exhibitions at Culture National Museum of Lima. we do retablos ,frames with mirrors, frames retablos(without doors), ornaments(angel, mermaids, hearts, skeletons, mask, flowers, doves, animals..etc). The materials that we use are wood of typical plants of peru, potato flour, painting, the glue, the varnish etc. First we prepare the dough with the shalk with the hands. we use more native colors of paintings, andean colors for each pieces of ours retablos. The wood is used to the boxes, the dough is used to make the figures such as plants, animals, and people.Shalk is used to mix with the dough to be stronger. The painting is used to paint each pieces. Finally we use varnish,it used to protect the pieces and the scenes. We work with my parents. First we do the figures ,my dad paint the background of the retablos, then I paint the pieces. After my mom puts the pieces with glue in the retablo, finally I put varnish in all the scene. The art crafts are very good quality, sustainable and eco friendly works.
